The AeroPM team employs a workforce of professional consultants supported by a back-end management team.
We are seeking a full-time Canberra-based operations manager to support the general operations of the company.

What would you do as our Operations Manager?
As an Operations Manager you will provide direct support to the General Manager in the day-to-day activities of the company including but not limited to:
1. Operations
- Day-to-day operations support for rapid growing medium-sized business
- Development and management of company policies
- Security Officer
- Schedule, conduct, manage, report and trend outputs from regular client interactions
- Management of client queries, inquiries and complaints
- Management of recruiting functions including the recruitment pipeline and register
- Support to employee performance management activities
- Management of employee professionalisation program
- Facilitation of in-house training programs
- Management of AeroPM relationships and engagements with professional and industry bodies
- Development of employee newsletters, communications and engagements
- Management of employee queries, inquiries and complaints
- Management and maintenance of incoming opportunities database
- Drafting of bid responses
- Nominations and submissions of business award entries
The level of performance expected from you as the employee includes:
- Fully responsible for meeting allocated objectives
- Works under broad direction
- Work is often self-initiated
- Able to prioritise and establish milestones
- Completing the identified tasks on time, in accordance with AeroPM policies, and in accordance with all reasonable and lawful directions given to you by the employer
- Deal with clients, suppliers and other employees professionally at all times
- Ensure that you present to work in appropriate professional attire as outlined in the AeroPM Policy Manual
- Your ordinary hours of work will be 40 hours per week during standard business hours.
- From time to time you will be required to work reasonable additional hours or after to perform your duties.
- Perform all duties to the best of your ability at all times.
- Use your best endeavours to promote and protect the interests of the employer.
What are we looking for?
- A self-starter with strong organisational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, administrative skills, attention to detail
- Exceptional customer service skills over the phone, through email and in person
- Ability to self-prioritise activities
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Email and Internet
- Excellent professional presentation
- Strong research skills and attention to detail
- Hands on operational support experience
- Strong problem-solving skill
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications:
- Degree qualified (desirable)
- Qualifications in Human Resource Management (desirable)
- Qualifications in Business Operations (desirable)
- 3 years previous experience in business support or equivalent in a similar role/industry (desirable)
- Previous experience with quality management (desirable)
- Previous experience as unit security officer (desirable)
- Excellent verbal and written communication (essential)
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Email) (essential)
- Excellent networking and relationship management ability
- Extremely organised, dedicated and able to meet deadlines
- Australian AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance (desirable)
Salary
- $130k Inc super.
